Minirally:

By @mfontanadev (https://mfontanadev.github.io/).

Thanks to: @DavidWehle

Description:

It is an imitation of the popular real game Mini rally, programed with QuickBasic 4.5, monochromatic displays (those times).

Motivation: share with the humanity and avoid that this will be lost in my backups.

Install instructions

0-It works on Windows, Linux (not compatible), Mac (not compatible).

1-MINIRALLY cames in two flavours, emulated and win10+ compatibility.

A) Zip file ending with -EMUL uses a DOS emulator. In this case execute the file called "play_minimized.bat".

NOTE: DOS emulation is done using DOSBox-0.72 it allows to switch into monochromatic screen resolution and execute the .exe old file.

B) Zip file ending with -WIN10 was compiled using QB64 no need to emulate DOS. In this case execute thr file called "play.bat".

NOTE: !!!!If antivirus says that there is a Trojan, is is false positive, there in no virus in the .exe file!!!

Making of:

No much to tell about, this time there is no source code.

Hi!

The Youtube video looks interesting.  I hear that QuickBasic source code can be compiled with QB64. Will you plan to compile the source code of this game with QB64? Then players don't need to use DOSBox to play the game any more. This will be convenient for players....yeah.

Thank you!!!

Hmm, that is interesting, I never thought about it. Maybe I will try one or two. But for now, this way is easier for me because it is just a copy paste from the past.

Thanks for your comment.

PD: I am working in a port to TIC-80

Hi!

Thanks for considering my idea!

"PD: I am working in a port to TIC-80" <=== a lot of gamers like to play web games . Sure!!!!!

Hi, after all this time, "you want it you get it", check qb64 compiled version , just as you suggested.

I hope you can enjoy it.

PD: it was a travel to the past for me. Now, back to the future, ported version using TIC-80 is available.
